A greenhouse is a crop-production environment, not only a frame and plastic cover. The structure should be planned around the crop, local climate, ventilation needs, drainage, irrigation, access and maintenance.
Site exposure matters. Wind, slope, surrounding buildings, shade, rainwater movement and access for materials can influence structure layout and anchoring decisions.
Ventilation should be considered at the concept stage. Side openings, ridge ventilation, insect net and any active cooling components affect both crop environment and structural detailing.
A project quotation should therefore identify the proposed area, location, crop and desired level of environmental control. Final structural specifications must be confirmed for the actual design and site conditions.
