Humidity is only one environmental variable in mushroom production. Fresh-air exchange, temperature and air movement also influence the growing room.

Humidification equipment should be selected for the room size and production method, while the ventilation strategy should avoid simply exhausting conditioned air without control.

Sensors can help operators observe conditions, but they do not replace a room design that distributes air and moisture reasonably across the racks.

Species-specific cultivation guidance should determine environmental targets. The building and equipment should then be selected to support those targets.
