A site assessment records the conditions that product catalogues cannot answer: terrain, access, water source, existing utilities, drainage, wind exposure, shade and available working space.
For irrigation, note source elevation, storage and field layout. For protected cultivation, note dimensions, surrounding obstructions and runoff. For hydroponics, include water and power reliability as well as the crop plan.
Photographs and a simple sketch can make the first quotation discussion more accurate. Larger projects may require measured drawings, elevation data or specialist structural information.
The goal is not to make the first visit complicated. It is to avoid selecting products before the actual constraints are understood.
